CDCFC employs Health Specialists to coordinate, plan and provide health services in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards. Vision, dental, and hearing screenings are conducted by our capable and professional Health Team which works in coordination with local medical service providers such as:
Staff are trained to follow-up on identified or potential health conditions and develop health care plans in accordance with each child’s individual needs. This includes evaluating and referring food allergies and other nutritional concerns. Health Services also provide education for the families and staff and collaborates with disabilities and mental health services to ensure each child receives the health services they need.
